ICE Electrical Taranaki is powering up new electric vehicle fast charging stations.

Located at Novotel, New Plymouth, these three stations are the first of their kind and will be of great benefit to compatible EV vehicle users, says Rob Jones, ICE Electrical Senior Project Manager.

It is an important part of the Taranaki 2050 Roadmap, targeting the region’s net zero emissions goals.

“Working with these global brands to deliver a quality product for their customers is something our team can be proud of,” he says.

“Required electrical works included finishing High and Low Voltage, and DC, works to an exceptional standard.”

While it is possible to charge electric vehicles at home, drivers often need to power up mid journey, especially when travelling cross country.

With electric vehicles growing in popularity, so too, are public charging stations.

“We expect to see many more installed over the coming months and years. This is a great start. “
