A welcome beacon to New Plymouth the Novotel now stands proud at the entrance to the city; with massive solar gains from the curved glass the HVAC system threw up some challenges from conception to completion. ICE Electrical teamed up with Excel for another successful HVAC power and control solution; the system included both Siemens and Daikin control systems, six air handling units, extraction and tempered air for more than 80 rooms and a boiler controlled hydronic floor system.
